It appears that there are new projects in the Minecraft franchise currently in the works at Microsoft. Over the years, Microsoft and developer Mojang have continued to develop Minecraft in a number of different ways. While the game that started continues to receive new updates regularly, branches like Minecraft: Story Mode And minecraft dungeons They were also released. Now, plans to further develop the property appear to be happening behind the scenes at the moment.
recently spotted on LinkedIn Profile of Torfi Frans Olafsson, Minecraft’s director of franchise development, said that “new projects” associated with the intellectual property are in development. No further details were given on what exactly this might mean, but it certainly looks like new games of some sort are likely to be in the planning stages. Olafson said his job description: “Focus on creatively developing new projects within the Minecraft franchise. Working on online, digital, physical, and media projects.”
So what could future Minecraft projects be like? Well, one option is a movie based on the popular video game. Just a few days ago, reports surfaced that this movie is already in development. fact, Aquaman And game of thrones Actor Jason Momoa is said to be in talks to end up starring in the project. Although no such announcement has appeared since to prove it true, it appears that it is only a matter of time until Minecraft heads to the big screen.
Outside of this potential movie, though, we don’t currently know what other Minecraft games could be in the pipeline. Given how popular the franchise is, though, this is a series that Microsoft and Xbox Game Studios will definitely want to keep repeating in the long run.
